Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement backend services for loyalty and consumer products.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into system designs.

  • Develop and maintain scalable and robust APIs using Spring Framework.

  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.

  • Manage and optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Implement security and data protection measures.

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

  • Solution new features based on client feedback and business requirements.

  • Actively engage with clients to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldor equivalent work experience.

  • 5-7 yrs experience with Backend Development in Java required.

  • Experience with Spring Framework with a strong understanding.

  • Experience with API management tools such as Apigee.

  • Solid understanding of object- oriented programming and system architecture.

  • Experience working directly with clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Knowledge of front end technologies (ex: HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.

  • Experience in designing and building applications for scalability and performance.

  • Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of technical and business related concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and team environments.

  • Ability to analyze complex situations, negotiate and position solutions towards Maritz strategic plans

  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement changes in process and procedures.

  • Strong leadership and presentation skills
