Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the Trident Support Center office. This role will assume a variety of responsibilities, including building repairs, setup and or moving office furniture, and both internal and external building maintenance.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

  • * Operates and maintains building equipment and systems.
  • Inspect all facilities on continuous basis, identify discrepancies, recommend future repair & maintenance projects and track life cycle of equipment.
  • Assists with preventive repairs and maintenance which can include kitchen equipment, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Sets up, moves, and/or repairs a variety of office furniture.
  • Assists with building repairs, including minor wall patching, painting, receptacle replacements, door and hinge closer maintenance, and replacing lightbulbs/lamps.
  • Supports and escorts external maintenance technicians.
  • Receives deliveries and ensures the appropriate parties are notified; logs all outgoing freight.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $22to $22.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • A minimum of one year of related experience.
  • General facility maintenance, carpentry, and electrical knowledge

Preferred education and experience

  • Previous experience working in a corporate office environment.

Work environment (includes travel/on-call):

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
