POSITION

The Investment Grade Income team is responsible for the management of approximately $40bn in fixed income assets from a diverse set of institutional clients around the world. The team is looking for a portfolio management analyst to assist with portfolio management, client servicing and trading functions for our separately managed account base.

The portfolio management analyst would sit directly with the portfolio managers and traders of the investment grade income team, and aid in the implementation of the strategy. This role would involve a breadth of tasks, from responding to client-specific requests, trade support, monitoring portfolios, and interfacing with other internal teams (ie. Accounting, operations, distribution enablement).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Portfolio Managers with daily portfolio analytic reports.
  • Provide daily support for internally developed portfolio and risk management system
  • Maintain, update, and develop spreadsheets to support models, provide for presentations and meet reporting needs.
  • Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks that include portfolio characteristics, return information, performance attribution, market commentary, and presentations for internal and external clients.
  • Work with portfolio management team to help formulate and implement strategy

CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in relevant capital markets roles, ideally in an investment grade role on the buy-side. Other relevant experience could include sell-side sales & trading, fixed income operations or macroeconomic strategy roles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, or accounting is preferred.
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and quantitative abilities that can be demonstrated through coursework in finance, accounting, statistics, and math, as well as in work-related and project management experience.
  • Ability to design PowerPoint presentations that tell the story through clean, concise, and well-organized slides.
  • Must be able to interpret complex concepts and translate them into easy-to-understand graphs, charts, and visual graphics.
  • Strong technical skills with demonstrated experience in advanced Excel formulas and functions.
  • Superior organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, a quick intellect, and a willingness to work in a "hands-on" environment.
  • Business experience through internship, co-op, part-time, or full-time position preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and fluid environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with capital markets and industry-specific jargon
  • Familiarity with relevant systems such as Bloomberg, FactSet, and FXConnect
  • Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing CFA designation
  • Conceptual understanding of macroeconomic trends and fixed income markets

Base Pay Range: $100,000-$140,000

Salary Range for California candidates only.Actual based may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
