Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Industrial Real Estate Manager for our Corporate Real Estate team, reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Real Estate, in our Strategic Sourcing and Procurement organization. You will play a major role in the execution of Georgia Pacific's operational real estate strategy, development of preferred partnerships, and customer relationship management with business units. You will be responsible for driving a pipeline of industrial and office transactions covering the full life cycle of real estate assets, from initial site selection through operation and exit, as well as the tracking and communication of project updates, economics, and risks. You will interact directly with business and operations leaders; corporate functions such as legal, environmental, and tax; and external parties.

The role is based in GP Center in Downtown Atlanta. You will enjoy a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote days.

What You Will Do

  • Execute Georgia Pacific's real estate strategies at manufacturing, office, and surplus sites. Transaction types can include leases, purchases, sales, and land use agreements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the overall real estate transaction process to capture the highest value for GP while understanding the needs of the business, collaborating with personnel from operations, supply chain, environmental, legal, public affairs, tax, and others.
  • Build relationships with local operating teams to identify and anticipate real estate needs.
  • Partner with brokers and other service providers on RFP processes and transaction execution.
  • Negotiate directly with third parties on transaction and contract terms and conditions, with legal support.
  • Communicate contract risks and responsibilities and develop risk strategies with internal business partners.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on transaction status, risks, and opportunities, including economics and timelines.
  • Measure results based on key transaction terms.
  • Own landlord/supplier relationship management and contract compliance through life of lease, including surrender.
  • Perform real estate business operations activities in contract management, payments, and records information management.
  • Drive continuous improvement of real estate processes and playbooks.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, property management, capital projects, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or purchasing
  • Working knowledge of contracts
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, supply chain, finance or related field
  • Experience with industrial real estate transactions as a corporate end user
  • Demonstrated knowledge of real estate contracts, construction, or project management
  • Experience preparing and delivering executive level presentations
  • Experience with financial modeling and discounted cash flow analyses
  • Experience in property management or lease administration
