The Sales Specialist, Championship Management provides sales administration support to multiple tournaments on the PGA TOUR, with a primary focus on FedEx St. Jude Championship. This individual provides administrative and customer-facing support for tournament sales. Collaborating closely with the sales teams, sales directors, and executive directors. This role manages tasks related to sales, organizes contracts, handles invoicing, tracks payments, runs revenue analysis and reporting, and serves as the main point of contact for addressing client inquiries.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, Sales, Marketing or other related field preferred

  • Minimum of four years of corporate business experience required

  • Prior experience in the sports industry with exposure to event management or event sales preferred

  • Exposure to Ticketmaster Archtics computer system is also preferred

  • Must possess strong Microsoft Office skills to include mail merges and intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Support Sales function, including drafting sales presentations and proposals.

  • This position will be responsible for supporting one or multiple events.

  • Generate the internal sales reports and validate the data to ensure that all sales are captured accurately.

  • Manage ticket and package fulfillment in Salesforce. Working with ticketing, finance and having contract management skills to ensure clients receive the correct assets.

  • Interact with clients to answer questions and assist with incremental sales.

  • Assist with the post-sale process to include invoicing, client relations, merchandising/inventory control, etc.

  • Assist the Marketing Services department with the development and execution of the event's marketing plan.

  • Act as the primary point of contact on-site to execute components of the marketing and promotions programs.

  • Assist with the development of sales collateral for Championship Management events, i.e., Digideck, PowerPoint & Proposal creation.

  • During event weeks, interact with clients to ensure all their needs are met.

  • Provide administrative support to the sales teams and Executive Directors as needed.

  • Assist the tournament office throughout the year.

  • Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
