DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform a wide range of clerical duties in support of the CAO staff. You will be the office receptionist and greet visitors as well as receive and transfer phone calls; type a variety of reports and correspondence; manage a filing system; prepare purchase orders, receive as well as inspect, sort, and distribute supplies and equipment; and process outgoing and incoming office mail. Additionally, you will perform chauffeur duties pick up and deliver county mail, inter-office correspondence, supplies, equipment or staff on daily scheduled trips.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Travel and overtime as needed. This may change based on operational need.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
  • You must be in possession of a valid PA driver's license.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
