Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday

The Communications Coordinator:

  • Manages programs in coordination with Marketing and Recovery Services to provide programs for tissue donor families and tissue recipients. Manages communication with recovery partners including support for partner events and programs.
  • Manages and designs internal campaigns and communication channels to communicate organizational mission to employees and partners working closely with Human Resources, and Internal Employee Committees.
  • Acts as a Solvita spokesperson to the public and to media outlets.
  • Writes and distributes press releases as necessary.
  • Adjusts and communicates plan changes as necessary to ensure costs for materials, media, and labor are in line with budget.
  • Ensures that all organizational communications are consistent with organizational brand standards and guidelines.
  • Ensures deadlines are met and projects are complete.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in Word, Page layout software and PowerPoint, as well as other Windows-based applications.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of all positions.
  • Must be guided by the highest level of integrity and people-centered care.

Work Environment/Physical Activities:

  • Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by Solvita's insurance provider.

  • We began in Dayton in 1964 as the region's first centralized blood bank. Solvita collects and provides all blood products for hospitals in our 15-county region and beyond.
