Position Summary:
Person in this position will be responsible for conducting onsite workshops and individual education of families in various life skills areas. This person will also provide one-on-one support to parents/children, collect data, and report progress to program stakeholders. The Educator provides the parents with resources to promote strength, skills and support in their housing stability. The Educator helps children develop healthy social skills to increase their competencies and build their self-esteem resulting in positive behavior changes. Essential Job Functions include those listed below:
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with team to assess each clients need for educational services, including, but not limited to life skills, personal budgeting, resume building, computer skills, parenting, etc;
- Provides a safe, clean, appropriate learning environment at all times.
- Facilitate family skills classes for adults and children and engage them by displaying enthusiasm and energetic attitude;
- Ensure active participation from parents and children and be available for community partners to offer input on program operations.
- Plan, organize, prioritize, and carry out assignments with minimal supervision and direction.
- Maintain relationships with referring and supporting agencies and represent the agency at various community meetings as requested;
- Participate in design and implementation of research, such as program evaluation and outcome studies;
- Documentation & Reporting;
- Adhere to Quality Assurance and Utilization Review systems that monitor the effectiveness of the treatment system;
- Monitor compliance with all required standards, regulations, state and federal guidelines;
- Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
