Associate, Client Service Specialist - BNY Mellon Advisors

BNY Mellon Advisors is a unique business within BNY Mellon Investment Management that focuses on asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager research, and alternatives within a OCIO context as well as asset management context. The business constructs and manages multi-asset, multi-manager investment strategies using both proprietary and third-party investment strategies.

In addition, the team also acts as a discretionary, or non-discretionary, provider to asset owners on a global basis across institutional, intermediary, and family office channels. The business works across all of BNY Mellon and its affiliates and subsidiaries including, but not limited to, Global Distribution, Pershing, Asset Servicing, and the various investment affiliates of BNY Mellon. BNY Mellon Advisors designs and implements investment strategies that are bespoke to client needs and objectives using a myriad of asset classes, investment strategies, and overlays.

We're seeking a Client Service Specialist at Associate level to join our BNY Mellon Advisors team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA and is a hybrid working position.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Supporting assigned client relationships and identifying areas of opportunity to grow those relationships.
  • Serving as a point of contact for responding to day-to day client inquiries and requests, as well as coordinating and communicating with internal parties, i.e., investments, operations, legal & compliance, etc. when necessary.
  • Client on-boarding/off-boarding - lead the EKYC process, collect AML/KYC Documents, co-ordinate investment set-up, account opening processes or distribution of liquidated investments, etc.
  • Coordinating with various internal stakeholders to ensure efficient communication and collaboration.
  • Independently managing and supporting assigned ad hoc projects.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant Client Service experience, preferably at an asset management firm, or experience in a financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • AML/KYC related experience and knowledge of other regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Excel and PowerPoint
