Vice President Business Escrow Services - Strategy

What you'll do:

As the Business Escrow Services leader of strategy, you'll be in a senior-level leadership position responsible for executing the division's strategic plan and guiding your team in its efforts to meet the Bank's annual growth and customer retention targets. You'll locate opportunities for new verticals, new product features or opportunities to increase revenue and deposit growth. You'll propose opportunities and pro forma analysis to the Managing Director. Upon approval to move forward with strategy, new product features and or new verticals, you'll take ownership of understanding the market for the new vertical, the sales channel, the marketing requirements and profitability of the vertical. You will spend time administrating transactions in the new vertical and after gaining the expertise will coordinate training of RMs and sales to further penetrate the market. You'll be responsible for understanding the intricacies of our current products and contributing the creation of marketing materials to assist with the marketing strategy of new and existing product features. You will indirectly lead the teams in a deeper understanding of our current and future product features to maximize the team's knowledge and proficiency in communicating the value-add proposition of the BES strategy to clients and prospects. indirectly lead a group of sales and relationship managers through learning. As a relationship manager, you will continue to spend a significant portion time working on your own network, executing deals and maintaining relationships with customers in the portfolio.

What we are looking for:

  • Responsible for own portfolio or assigned transactions with respect to the standard BES relationship management aspects of your job.

  • Locates new or improved product features and works with BESTECH and internal teams to execute tactical strategy outlined by the Managing Director

  • Thoroughly understands all current product features to participate in further education of relationship managers, sales and the BES internal teams.

  • Responsible for contributing to marketing for current and new features or verticals.

  • Responsible for identifying sales pipelines related to new verticals proposed and agreed to by the Managing Director and Senior Management team.

  • May be responsible for creating presentations and training for teams through the identification or execution of the strategy.

  • Fosters strong, healthy working relationships with other leaders, banking partners and partner departments.

  • Responsible for coordination of vetting new opportunities through legal.

  • Responsible for working with BES analytics managers to ensure KPIs for new verticals are tracked, new procedures are communicated, and properly documented and internal staffing models are kept up to date.

  • May provide supervision to and direct the activities of new staff hired or assigned and will perform supervisory tasks such as performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates for employment; develops work schedules; provides necessary training and coaching (if applicable).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field or a combination of relevant education and experience.

  • 10 years' experience of relevant experience with at least 4 years of direct client facing experience in M&A / Escrow.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, leveraged to build effective relationships within BES.

  • Proficiency in MS office suite (Word, Excel, PPT).

  • Proven ability to compile, organize, prepare, and maintain records, reports, and information.

  • Demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse workforce.

  • Comfortable in developing presentations and group facilitation.

  • Sound leadership experience demonstrating success in executing on the roles and responsibilities described above.
