Job Title: Material Coordinator
Department: Manufacturing/Supply Chain
Reports To: Inventory Control Leader
Reporting Shift: Monday - Friday, First Shift (6:00am - 2:00pm)
Compensation: $1800 - $21.00 / hourly

POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Coordinator is a person in a production environment who is tasked with keeping work
stations fully stocked with materials, thus controlling the continuous flow of productivity.

The Material Coordinator will place the needs of the team as top priority. This key position will primarily be responsible for daily/hourly scheduling and providing the materials to coworkers in a timely and most efficient manner so that other employees can remain at their workstations and
focus on the tasks at hand.

Success will be measured by:
* Ability to support production floor by providing continuous flow of stock for WOs
* Thorough knowledge of product lines and products both in inventory and being produced

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work with Supervisors, teammates, and others regarding the production schedule and materials, parts, tooling, etc. needed for the day
* Responsible for the movement of raw material and supplies into the production area to be staged into the work cells
* Assemble manufacturing documentation based on the production schedule
* Recommend any changes in schedules to the team
* Verify and ensure inventory accuracy, including accurate part identification labels and quantities
* Maintains accurate stock levels, inventories, and locations
* Assist in 5S and Lean activities as required
* Identify and assist in continuous improvement measures
* Maintain quality and productivity standards
* Ensure the work environment is clean and safe
* Back up Shipping Department as needed
* Any additional work assigned by Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
*High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
*Understand basic manufacturing process and how supply inventory control interacts with upstream and downstream functions
*Strong attention to detail
*Strong basic math skills
*Good computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input ERP system data
*Ability to work with multiple priorities and people
*Ability to professionally communicate and work with others
*Fork truck trained/certified
*Ability to lift 50 lbs.
