Molex is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our talented team in Pinellas Park, Florida. The Manufacturing Engineer will create value by working across all departments and functional areas, focusing on improvement, support, and development of new and existing processes. The manufacturing engineer also collaborates with other team members to identify opportunity, specify equipment, purchase, and install capital equipment to improve financial profitability.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, improve, and implement manufacturing processes to improve quality (OEE), reduce costs (COPQ), streamline process (lean) and drive safety improvements (incidents).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process maps.
  • Work with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and provide technical support.
  • Develop and implement training programs for production teams to ensure consistency and quality in manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in new product development projects to ensure manufacturing processes are designed for high-quality and efficient production.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in support for production processes as needed to drive projects to completion.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering field
  • Three (3) years or more experience working directly with process control and improvement
  • Understanding of customer automation equipment function and repair.
  • Project Management Experience

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience specifying and launching custom automation solutions.
  • Experience working with SAP
  • CAD experience
  • Knowledge of multiple process types; stamping, plating, molding, assembly, etc
  • Knowledgeable of lean six sigma principles
  • Previous experience in an ISO/IATF work environment
