A Brief Overview


The Fulfillment Center Operations Manager 1 supervises all fulfillment associates in lower volume locations generally servicing less than 900,000 outshipments annually, ensuring timely, efficient, and productive completion of daily, weekly, and monthly operations.

What you will do
Leadership and Direction:
Contextualize and communicate the strategy for achieving fulfillment center mission and values.
Responsible for the full cycle of talent fundamentals, including selection, onboarding, training, development, performance management, culture, and engagement of their team.
Create a rewarding and positive work environment that encourages the retention of associates. Identify and address any barriers to retention, including managing associate work-related concerns.

Succession and Capability Building:
Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities for fulfillment site leaders
Identify and develop talent with the ability to grow into more complex roles

Fulfillment Center Management:
Direct the execution of annual business plans for a fulfillment site, ensuring alignment with the business direction, quantify business outcomes (i.e., productivity, Inventory management, customer experience, cost optimization and product care)

Customer Experience and Quality:
Work with supervisors and associates to create a culture that drives a great, memorable, and easy customer experience in all serviced fulfillment sites
Ensure the quality of the product received is fit for purpose

Health and Safety:
Ensures Federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, CDL, DOT and MHE) are being followed in the fulfillment site
Proactively identify risk behaviors and coach/train to eliminate
Ensure the operation leads with safety

Internal Collaboration:
Work within the fulfillment center to drive results, frequently collaborating with peers
Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • High School Required

Experience Qualifications

  • 4-6 years leadership and supervisory experience Required and

  • 1-3 years minimum 3 years of supply chain leadership experience Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferred (Medium proficiency)

  • Ability to work from the fulfillment center location and travel up to 5% (High proficiency)

  • Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and courteously, adhering to all Company policies and procedures relating to safety. This includes obeying all traffic laws and regulations and maintaining a valid driver's license with a driving record that falls within the Company requirements.

  • Ability to satisfy all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements as outlined in the Field Supplemental Handbook (i.e. ability to wear safety glasses while in the fulfillment center)

  • To safely operate the order picker and comply with equipment manufacturer specifications and required safety regulations, there is a weight limit set at 300 pounds. If you are hired to operate this equipment, you will need to weigh under 300lbs.

  • Ability to occasionally lift windshields, up to 35 pounds (High proficiency)

  • Frequent communication with customers, associates, vendors, and others. Must be able to exchange accurate information. (Medium proficiency)
