SUMMARY

The Sustainability Product Manager is responsible to lead the development and deployment of achieving and maintaining zero waste to landfill. Develop strategic and tactical business plans for our byproduct (innovative outlets, quality improvements, training, market research) focusing on satisfying customer requirements while meeting enterprise strategic and financial goals. Lead the implementation of these plans as part of a cross functional team.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work cross functionally with internal operations: operators, facilities, marketing, LSS, RD&I
  • Expectation that some time would be spent on the manufacturing floor interfacing with operations while learning, listening, helping and providing guidance. First few months will be heavily focused on learning while on the manufacturing floor.
  • Define roadmaps and action plans to achieve and maintain zero waste to landfill.
  • Identify and collaborate with external parties.
  • *Lead development of comprehensive business cases for assigned waste byproduct within the framework of overall enterprise plans and strategies. Accountable for assigned product performance against targeted volume, quality and profit goals.
  • Participate in the development of the enterprise portfolio strategy inclusive of positioning, features/options, pricing, and services with a goal of achieving increased levels of customer satisfaction and enterprise financial value.
  • Develop tools and processes to support product information needs of internal delivery partners, field sales, partners customers.
  • Provide industry and product line expertise to support the development of competitive intelligence related to other window and door manufacturers.
  • Participate in strategic and annual operating planning processes.
  • Responsible for sound budgeting and expense management.
  • Be an integral part of the sustainability team and bring insight and guidance to company direction.
  • Opportunity to take on additional responsibilities in the sustainability space as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
  • 2-4 years progressive experience in sustainability or waste.
  • 5-10 years professional experience.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the field of sustainability or waste.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, Andersen associates, customers, and suppliers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills Strong leadership aptitude.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
