Job Summary:

The Department of Immunology and Microbiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates with strong research plans in the general fields of Immunology and Microbiology and at the intersection of infection and host response are encouraged to apply. Examples of research areas of particular interest include virus/host response, mucosal immunity and response to mucosal infections, computational immunology, vaccine biology, and inflammatory or immune responses to infections and cancer. Preferred candidates will have well-developed interdisciplinary research plans that employ innovative approaches with human or animal models to study mechanisms of immunity to pathogens or cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a strong extramurally funded research program
  • Conduct an interdisciplinary research program using innovative approaches to address the generation/maintenance of immunity in health and disease
  • Contribute to the teaching, mentoring and service missions of the Department

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the biomedical sciences
  • Excellent record of research productivity

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$125,000 to $135,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
