Our Marketing Manager position leads the overall management and organization of our team in the project pursuit process, public relations, market research, and planning within our operating group. Success in this role is demonstrated by creativity, ability to collaborate, delivering high-quality work, leading a first-rate team, and achieving results to support our strategic goals.


Required Skills

  • Develop a high-performance marketing team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Drive team accountability for results and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Lead production of impactful proposals, interview presentations, and other sales materials.
  • Evaluate overall RFQ/RFP response process with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Develop strategies and themes that best position Boldt against competition.
  • Review and edit materials for final submission, ensuring accuracy and high level of quality.
  • Work with business development and project leadership on interview strategies and coaching.
  • Manage updates to project profiles, resumes and sales collateral.
  • Balance team workload and schedules, manage assignments with effective project planning skills.
  • Manage short-term priorities with long-term strategic plan tactics, ensuring all timelines are met.
  • Lead and/or present at staff and management meetings, providing updates on marketing initiatives.
  • Act as point-person with consultants and suppliers, including contract financials and management.
  • Manage regional trade show strategy, planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Direct marketing team in event planning for career fairs, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, including operations, marketing, and support services.
  • Manage department budget, purchase orders and invoice approvals.
  • Develop engaging content for use in collateral at all stages of pursuit process.
  • Oversee awards submissions and membership renewals/updates.
  • Manage project photos and videos and assist with upload to digital asset manager.
  • Support business development and subject matter professionals with collateral and signage requests.
  • Be responsible for promotional product orders and oversee inventory of department supplies.
  • Lead local marketing initiatives and campaigns, defining metrics, and reporting on results.
  • Enter information into Boldt's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Oversee an events calendar and provide internal communications when appropriate.
  • Find opportunities for process improvement and develop implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Marketing on PR, social media, website, and campaigns.
  • Participate in company committees as the need arises.
  • Work w/ Business Development/leadership on local market trends, competition, and opportunities.
  • Mentor, train, and coach junior positions within the marketing team.
  • Coordinate the execution of sponsorship and advertising requests.

Required Experience

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • High degree of energy, passion, tenacity, and creativity.
  • Self-starter, deadline driven with a strong focus on results.
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals and strong project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated mentoring and teaching abilities, managerial skills including leading a team,
  • Providing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling and composition.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Highly organized with ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • CRM knowledge is helpful.
  • Professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers.
  • Composure while working on multiple projects under tight timelines.

Physical requirements and working conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.

The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
