Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Highway EIT, we'll count on you to:

* Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects

* Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates

* Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations

* Provide project engineering/project delivery supports with a focus on transportation projects and public transportation clients throughout the Southern California Region

* Anticipated work tasks may include; Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects.

* Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree

* EIT

* Able to develop designs using MicroStation, GEOPAK or other transportation design software packages, MS Office experience

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* Preference will be given to local candidates.

* Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred.

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

* EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of Highway Coordinator and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression

* Previous work experience with Local Cities and Port projects (studies and design) is preferred.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
