Job Summary

The Project Coordinator I is a professional consulting services support position within the Program Management and Client Relations Division (PMCR), Project and Client Management Department and will report to the assigned Senior Program Manager (Sr.PGM) or Program Manager (PGM). The Project Coordinator will support the PGMs and Project Managers (PMs) with daily operations related to clients, assist project management, and contract execution, and prepare reports and data summaries as requested. The position requires interacting with and providing technical consulting services to clients and internal cross-functional teams while maintaining a positive attitude and professional manner in a fast-paced working environment. The Project Coordinator will support PGMs/PMs for successful project delivery, achieving financial performance metrics, and assist in client interaction and requests as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and associated time allocations will vary depending upon circumstances and will be based on assisting or assuming portions of the workload associated with delivery of contracted work scopes and the client management duties assigned to the PGMs/PMs. Elements of the duties and responsibilities of this position are generally described as shown below:

Client Interactions and Deliverables

Under the direction of the PGMs/PMs, create, write, review, and edit client-facing deliverables and reports and engage in other written communications. Develop client management and professional consulting skills and presentation skills to be able to actively participate in communication with clients.

Internal Communications

Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) with internal business units and stakeholders. Receive and understand internal reporting from other departments. Analyze, understand, and present data and key performance metrics. Partake in and record conversations and meetings. Participate in various weekly meetings.

Projects

Assist the PGMs/PMs and other Project Coordinators as requested on key aspects of deliverables, initiatives, and elements of technical project management, and the coordination between departments and divisions within the company.

Program Management Support

Assist PGMs/PMs and other Project Coordinators with managing programs to the contracted scope and desired margin. Provide support in monitoring operations and financial performance for adherence to the service parameters, business rules, and operation plans.

Invoicing

Track and review invoicing and assist with invoice related data entry.

Contract Statement of Work/Addendums/Task Orders

Assist with creation and revisions of the work scope portion of client contracting.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

    1. Required Qualifications
      1. Education: Bachelor's degree in business or other related disciplines.
      2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in sales, client management, business administration in a professional or technical consulting services industry.
      3. Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel.
      4. Experience in project management.
    2. Preferred Experiences
      1. Business communication skills in writing and verbal
      2. Technical writing
      3. Marketing and Branding experience

      1. CONSULTING SKILLS: Demonstrated experience providing professional or technical consulting services to clients. Ability to help clients with problem solving, identify and develop strategies to support client requests, manage deliverables to meet project schedule and budget, and work in a dynamic environment.
      2. ANALYTICAL SKILLS: The ability to observe, evaluate, summarize, and apply meaningful data in the problem-solving process. The level of logical reasoning necessary to connect required actions to desired outcomes. The ability to forecast events based upon current situations. Demonstrated skill in generating alternative solutions to problems.
      3. COMMUNICATION: The ability to effectively converse and listen to others concerning company matters. The use of proper written and grammatical skills, and the meaningful application of computer technology [e-mail, Internet, etc.].
      4. COOPERATION: Promote a collaborative, cooperative, and productive environment. The ability to work well with colleagues and leadership. The level of demonstrated sensitivity, team building, support, and respect. Willingness to share knowledge, and work.
      5. INITIATIVE: The ability to perform job responsibilities independently and responsibly. The ability to proactively complete tasks, solve problems, improve processes, enhance products, and/or extend services within assigned range of authority.
      6. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS: The degree to which the employee collaboratively works with other internal departments, agencies, and/or outside organizations. The level of response to customer requests, both internally and externally. Anticipation and control of obstacles.
      7. ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS: The ability to manage tasks, projects, information, and materials within a well-ordered system. The degree to which multiple assignments are managed and completed according to established schedules.
      8. PROFESSIONALISM: The degree to which the employee demonstrates and conveys a favorable image when representing the company. The level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality along with proper standards of professional dress.
  1. Physical Requirements
    1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    2. Must be able to lift 15-lbs.
    3. Must be able to work in a general office environment, with typical office noise and lighting conditions.
