RHD is HIRING!!


We are looking for TWO part time Accountants to provide services at our Corporate office in Philadelphia.

Position 1 days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Position 2 days are Wednesdays and Fridays.

Position Summary

The Accountant utilizes hands-on accounting experience and an understanding of accounting principles and company practices to perform routine accounting activities and financial analyses. The Accountant is responsible for general ledger accountability, preparing routine journal entries and reconciliations, support financial reporting and other special projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Maintains financial records by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries and complete accountant reconciliations
  • Provides financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects.
  • Corrects errors by posting adjusting journal entries.
  • Maintains accounting controls by following corporate policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for external auditors
  • Interact and provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers
  • Will perform other duties as assigned based on business necessity.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • One Year experience in the accounting field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Financial Edge, a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Direct Supervisor: Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager

RHD employees working in programs within the City of Philadelphia are required to provide proof of Covid vaccination. If not fully vaccinated, they must receive at least one shot in a two -dose series or a single dose in a one-dose series before beginning in-person shifts. Final doses must be received within 8 weeks of hire.

The Corporate Office is not a service location. Therefore, RHD has determined that vaccinations are not required to work out of or to visit the office. As a reminder and as stated in prior communication, vaccinations are required for those who visit or work in Philadelphia programs and/or service locations.
