Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients; identify various cardiac arrhythmias and detect heart rhythm/rate variations
- Interpret cardiac rhythm and document in the patient's medical record according to the departmental standards.
- Ensure appropriate and timely response to alarms.
- Follow escalation process to ensure optimal patient care
- Ensure correct patient identification information on all assigned telemetry monitors
- Troubleshoot telemetry problems and assist the nursing staff with the same
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Monitor Tech, EKG, Patient care experience
