As a Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you'll lead the Engineering and Maintenance functions at the site through complex industrial processes, with the objective to achieve maximum plant availability. From the initial spark of an idea to its full realization, you'll guide projects through every stage of development, ensuring seamless execution and tangible results. Your Title: Maintenance & Engineering Manager
You'll be located: South Hackensack, NJ
Reports to: Site Head of Operations

You Will:
Strategy Design and Project Execution
* Provide input to the local Operations team to craft business plans and related objectives with regards to e.g. engineering projects, production capacity, critical maintenance activities, changes in equipment, spare parts inventory.
* Define Site Engineering annual targets and objectives based on functional strategy; lead and monitor their achievement.
* Identify, propose, and implement Capax projects by leading all phases of project management, including developing scope, cost estimates, project justifications, and designs.
Function Management
* Lead the Maintenance & Engineering team and contractors, working on different assignments within engineering and maintenance fields.
* Work with Engineering functions to ensure analysis and implementation of global strategies, plans or best practices.
* Establish site master plans to capture all Capex, engineering and maintenance plans and lead their execution to address internal customer requirements in the short, mid and long term.
* Provide input to global or regional Capex initiatives to anticipate impact on local activities and resources.
* Support the Maintenance & Reliability Manager and the Engineering Projects Manager to manage routine engineering and maintenance activities, track progress against plan(s) and implement corrective actions in case of deviation.
* Apply best practices and continuous improvement programs to improve processes and use of resources.
* Maintain compliance of all assets with applicable legal or company standards, and harmonization of standards within the departments.
* Implement Group Engineering initiatives, guidelines and directives and organize regular trainings to ensure adherence to these and other guidelines/directives (e.g. EHS).
* Propose budgets and levels of service for engineering and maintenance activities and accomplish these within approved limit(s).
People Leadership
* Manage diverse teams, including department leaders, reviewing performance and progress. Provide guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
* Work with local Operations and regional/global E&M management teams and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local talent pipe-line for the function.
* Identify gaps and develop action plans to achieve.

Your Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
* 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or plant operations (Food manufacturing preference), including exposure to factory engineering and maintenance strategy and operational maintenance of production equipment.
* 3+ years of progressive experience in people management.
* Proficient in managing versatile teams and external partners.
* Proficiency in complex industrialization and engineering projects including building, process installation and utilities, from design stage to hand-over.
* Knowledge of financial concepts (e.g. OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g. SAP).
* Knowledge of TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and project controlling tools.
