OverviewMicrosoft's Cloud Operations and Innovation Team (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. We are responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, live and online services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. Within CO+I, the strategic Supply Chain Team is responsible for establishing a supply chain that can meet the ever-growing growth of the Microsoft Cloud and our customers. We support a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-billion, multi-year datacenter construction and lease projects and operations of those assets. As a Global Category Manager for Integration and Technical Infrastructure Management (ITIM) and Lessors Services, you will be responsible for the maintainence of the global portfolio of suppliers who provide ITIM field installation services in addition to the Data Center Lease providers. ResponsibilitiesMaintain the global portfolio of Integration and Technical Infrastructure Management (ITIM) service providers as well as the Microsoft Data Center Lessor network.Onboard suppliers, facilitating the placement of master service agreements, master construction contracts and/or master lease agreements as appropriate along with global supplier relationship management.Coordinate the global strategy for ITIM and Lessors Services in partnership with a cross-functional team focused on driving productivity through optimization within our overall datacenter portfolio.Partner with the regional teams to leverage industry best practices to develop the strategy and identify experienced suppliers.Partner with global stakeholders to drive consistency across the regions.Create multi-year sourcing strategies for several purchasing opportunities, optimizing costs, ensuring sufficient supplies, and driving benchmarking.Leverage end-to-end sourcing expertise to resolve escalations and execute sourcing strategies.Model efficient supplier management practices, improve evaluation frameworks, and drive corrective actions While integrating business specifications for several complex purchasing areas into request for proposal (RFP) processes.Lead pricing and negotiation strategies for several complex purchasing categories, gaining C-suite support, mitigating contract disagreements, and coaching others.Drive business impact by applying market intelligence to develop and influence the adoption of channel strategies that enable quality execution, while educating stakeholders to ensure compliance and influencing policy direction as needed to mitigate risk.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure awareness of Service Level Agreement (SLA) and deliverables.Identify procurement request issues and collaborate with partners to proactively drive improvements.Create and deliver on contract execution plans, defining control processes that drive consistent alignment with business requirements and support improvements.Drive early business engagements for highly complex business areas and manage supplier activity across multiple accounts.
